me and a friend fished the lake for 6 hours i caught 3 he caught 4 all rainbows ranging from 8-11 inches, although small in length these fish were well fed and had a bit of bulk to them, definatly fun for their size. the day was beautiful and although the fishing was slow i would have stayed just for the sun. morning was definatly much better than the mid day heat. the biting stoped at about noon then we just relaxed and enjoyed the day 'till it was time to go. sparkle leach was no good after 8:30 once the cloud cover burned off and the sun came out in full no solid hits on it after the fist half hour so i switched to a black bugger which worked very well till about 10:30 then the steady strikes diminished, although i was getting lots of bites int he moring not many were solid and i lost the majority of them, my friend was having the same problem, trolling two lines on his bellyboat till he switched to a black bugger and enjoyed the fun. definatly the black buger was working decently, probably a better fly for the job that day. fish were rising in the shallows constanty all around the 10 inch mark. trolled all day on a full sinking line. started at 8 left at 2. the scenery definatly made this trip alot better.
