| Having had past success fishing the S.W. section of the lake, that's where I started this outting. Without a single bite, I moved towards the north side of the lake and as I got closer towards the middle of the lake, I started getting some strikes. The action slowed down as I hit the S.E. side of the lake. In total, I caught four in total, and had about half a dozen strikes where I didn't hookup. Not bad considering I only spent about an hour in the productive zone.
I saw a few chironomids and a number of small chironomid schucks. I tried fishing a chromie naked but didn't get any takers. It could have been I was fishing the wrong section of the lake at that point.
However, I switched to a 20ft. fast sink tip (type 4) and put on a maroon / black beadhead leech pattern which brought increased success. Unfortunately, by the time I found what I believe was the best part of the lake that day, I ran out of time and had to leave.
Talking to other fishermen, it seems the 52 buick was quite successful too.
