| Great day out. Started off catching 3 Chum just after first light. Moved to the fast water for non stop action. Limited company out today which made for good fishing. Everyone catching fish. Bottom bouncers were doing the best but I managed to catch and release three Chinook. Got into many others, the largest one just about spooled me before breaking off. Got to see it a few times and estimated weight about 35+. Many others on then off just as quick. Started out a bit slow until increased the amount of weight to get down where the fish were. Needed just about two full peices of pencil lead about 2 1/2 inches long to get into the strike zone (threaded onto line). The additional weight seemed to be the key in the faster water. Used row sacks, globs of roe and pro cured shrimp. Best luck was on the shrimp and roe globs. Fish were coloured but not too bad. Helped one guy land a beautiful silver fish of about 20lbs.
