| Arrived at St. Elmo at 4:20am. A lot of people already there. Got a good spot and waited for daylight. First fish caught on about 6th cast and second followed about a half hour later. Hooked into what had to be a spring also. Peeled off a lot of line then broke off - "rookie mistake" drag too tight after snaggin up on previous cast. Fish caught on about 12 feet leader with red bead and green wool. Also green corkie and wool. Quite a few fish caught today but was a bit hit and miss for some. 8 year old daught insisted on coming and had a blast reeling in the sockeye!
