Comments
I headed to rolley lake hoping to catch the evening hatch it was slightly overcast with the odd drizzle of very very light rain.arival time of 6:30. I started on a doc spratley first black then red with a few ticks on the red nothing on the black, at evening hatch i switched to a black bugger with gold ribbing and had success after one quick patrol around the shallows on the south end, i had bites consistantly in one spot with the bugger and thats a strait line of sight from the creek on the south-west end of the lake about 50 feet out. i was trollling on a full sinking line about 35 feet of line, back and forth paralell to shore. on my way back to shore (swimming area) a strait line from the creek i landed the biggest fish on my 2 hour expedition 15 inches about half way between the beach and the creek. 4 fish caught all between 8 and 15 inches. a good night at rolley for me. two others were less successfull while i was fishing both left when things were getting good. finished at 8:20 in the dark. watch the fish rising in rolley they tend to rise more heavily in some areas. troll these areas, also just off the creek always produces fish on my trips so if you cant get a bite head to that area. tight lines and good fishing!
