| Fished from 6 - 7pm. Very few rises observed, but fished near the shoreline and did best when casting to rising trout rather than fishing blindly. Most takes were quite abrupt and ocurred shortly after the fly began its descent. Figure-of-eight (hand-twist) was the most effective retrieve and caught one while reeling in to change lines (LOL). Caught two trout on a Pheasant Tail Nymph, Two on an Olive Sparkle Caddis Pupa, and one on a Mayfly Emerger (all on floating line with a 12 foot leader of 8-pound fluorocarbon leader. Long-distance released three smaller trout. Great time on the water, and the wind was very manageable with the help of a small drogue attached to the stern of my kayak...
