| I took my two young daughters fishing today off the dock. we started by casting spoons out with a slow retrieve. after about 15 minutes of nothing, the attention spans of a 3yr old and 4 yr old was done so the wife took them off to the park. i cast a few more spoons and landed one small rainbow that was about 8 inches. i switched up to a float and some worms and let it sit out about 20 feet off the dock. my float took a soft slip under the water so i started reeling in and felt a decent size fish on the end of the line. from the depths of mill lake came a 15 inch catfish, the first i had ever caught. so i took a pic and let him go. fished for another 15 minutes or so and caught one pumpkinseed. all in all it was a decent hour of fishing.
