| Checked out Phylis and Marion lakes today. No fish activity visible. Last time I was here I caught about 15 small cutthroat before realizing it was a waste of time tormenting these poor tiny fish. I have a new technique where I don't hook small fish so I wanted to try it here. 2 hours of no luck at Phyllis Lake and 2+ hours of no luck at Marion Lake. Just to see what was up I set up one rod with the small fish set-up and it did not get any bites either. Maybe all the cutties used the high water level to swim out into the ocean. Hope they'll be back.
I used my saw to clear a path down the the North end of Marion Lake so it's less intense to bushwhack down to the water.
