| So we went back in search of the Lake Trout or Carp. I can definitely say they were Carp after seeing them again. What a big school and they stick to the same spot more or less and can be found by slowly cruising the shallows near the old Houseboat. We spincasted and bottom fished, even went with a bobber for a while, before we spotted the Carp again and confirmed that that was what they were. Caught the stinkiest thing I have ever gone near...oh goodtimes. The g/f snagged a 6LB Squawfish and damn were we excited until we got it close enough to see.
We might try the Carp thing now that we know they are there. But they sound finicky and time consuming with little return, so unless nothing else is biting, we might save that one for now.
