| We got bored of catching nothing on Wood Lake, so we took a run under the road into Kal Lake. There we went and had a peek at Kaloya park. Out near the small blue and white houseboat there are a lot of submerged trees that are so calcified that they look like coral. There is one really large one there that is almost from the bottom to out of the water. Right there we saw a group of hulking black fish silhouettes. We immediately stopped the boat and tied on some spin casting stuff, namely Crocs and went to it. After a while and some better visibility I was able to make out the massive scales and dark coloring. They did not spook, but curiously swam near our lures without any bites. Once seeing them clearly that made more sense, here I was hoping I found a cache of 5LB+ Kokes or RB's. No such luck, but cool to see. So for you carp hunters, shore fishing this area, or even a tube would put you right where you need to be. They travel in packs and we saw well over two dozen in the time we were there, and all massive...
