| The day started out a little slow but once we were into our first fish they kept coming. Caught three on the day and they got progressivly bigger as the day went on. First fish was 2 1/2 feet long, second was 3 1/2 feet long and the last was about 8 feet long.
The first 2 fish brought to the boat came in without much fuss but the 8 footer was another story. It took an hour and 20 minutes to get it to the boat, and we were not able to get it in for a measurment. we didnt know the area very well so we couldnt find a beach to bring 'er in on. The fish was belly hooked, must have rolled in the bait, and was able to use its entire body weight like a sail in the current to pull our boat around, and we were in a 20 foot jet boat!
For bait we were using Ooligans(*sp)with some halibut attractant all tied up in a spawn bag. This way worked great as we could use the same bait more than once and only had to retie on new bait once after a lost fish.
All in all a great day
