| The bushwack up the creek is gnarly, long, and extremely good grizzly habitat. Do NOT go here solo. Travel light. Bushwacking doesn’t begin to describe the wide range of challenges you will face getting to this lake. Mud, thick bush, in and out of the creek, log crossings, extremely steep slopes, loose rock, and class 3 scrambling at the top to get around the waterfall. Overall it was a worthwhile hike, but for the scenery rather than the fish. Biggest fish was 30cm but it was a typical high mountain fish. Very skinny. The rest of the fish ranged from 15-20cm. Not worth fishing for these little guys. They live a hard life in these cold high lakes.
