| Try something else with a two nymph set-up. Use the top nymph as an attractor and the lower nymph as the target. I use a big beadhead as the attractor and a trailing tiny Pheasant tail variation as the target fly. It is much more effective than a single Pheasant tail with just weight to get it down. I'm sure the trout spot the big nymph firstand move towards it. Then they decide it isn't right, but lookee here, a nice little nymph just the right size and colour following along behind. Bingo! Yah got him. When you have time with lots of fish around try the little experiment and you'll see what I mean.
Another combination: use a 2 nymph set-up consisting of a San Juan Worm, and a Bead-Head Prince.......fished under an indicator with dry line.
