Also, if you flyfish the Vedder you can catch and release quite a few trout. And maybe a big steelhead.

You guys should try Pitt Lake , I went there today with the boat and my buddy. We were across the lake from the canoe rentals and we were catchn fish all day. We used spinners with bits of worm with two split shots. Really good place for trout.

Pitt Lake is in Pitt Meadows. Take Hwy 1 east. Take the Mary Hill Bypass just before the Port Man Bridge. Follow till you go over the pitt river bridge. After the bridge your on Lougheed Hwy. Drive east till Harris RD. Turn Left. Follow the sighns to the lake. (follow the green line in the map) I was in a boat el nino, fishing from shore is kinda weak but still can be done. There are docks were you can fish from. I was right accross the lake from the canoe rentals. Its like a 5 min. boat ride. (look for this spot in the picture)

this pitt lake is pretty big, why isnt it listed on this website? does it go by another name?

The lake is indeed huge, but that means its full of fish. This lake connects with 2 rivers then the ocean. It has an unbelivable abundance of aquatic life. I was wondering the same thing about it not being in the database of this site! Webmaster!! Some help would br great here.

by refering to me as "troutmaster" when my member name is troufisher, you are comming accross as one with an attitude and sarcasim. so tell me jimbo .... whats YOUR problem. If you were are really asking me if i used that setup for trout, then yes but for trolling! We were fishing off a rockey point into deep water. just toss your line in and reel back.

My problem is being accused of having an attitude and trying to piss people off when i ask a simple a question. sorry i got the name wrong, it wasn't sarcasm it was an honest mistake, so take take it easy

Was very windy on the lake today. The water was real high. The fish were quiet this time. Mostly small ones but still was fun as hell.
