Anyone looking for a great new rod to upgrade to should look at Gooey's posting. I think he's understated how good that rod is, it's not just good for sockey. That rod would be great for steelhead, coho, springs- everything really. It's got a great bend from tip right to the butt end. If I didn't have so many rods I'd snap it up. Hand built rods usually cost a mint.

True enuf... hand-made rods are often made to perfection and better than mass-made ones. If you think you might want a new rod, you should definitely check out a hand-made one. Many hours have been put to such perfectly crafted item.
