Stopped today at Chehalis River to see if there are any springs in the hatchery canal.

Not only I haven't seen any fish, but also there is hardly any water left in the river!

Well, downstream, there are some deeper pools, but most certainly, fishing Chehalis for Chinooks or even summer Steelhead is for committed fishermen only

I fish this river for coho and steelhead a few times ever year because i like the exercise. But i have never heard of anyone catching a red spring on this river.

did they not get the stock of red springs for the vedder from
the harrison/chehalis system?
