I'm not sure the status or condition of Latimer/Stokes in Langley, but even when it was thriving up until it was/became a puddle, it always had lots of bluegill...

Good tip Gearbox. I have hardly heard anything about our local lakes this year and have not gotten out as much as I would like. I'm a Vernonite too, maybe I'll meet ya out there one day...

For pumpkinseeds (yeah, they're small, but fun for kids since they can hook 100 per day) try the north shore of Mill Lake near Aabottsford when they spawn (late spring.)
Whonnock Lake (Fraser Valley) for crappie in May, from a boat, using a jig tipped with some bait.
For bass, try sloughs just downstream from Pitt Lake.
Okanagon Lake and Osoyoos Lake (both east of Fraser Valley of course) for bass panfish too.
