Topic: Clark Lakes - OK Falls |

A fishing buddy of mine had an old newspaper article, 2008, about a keen fisherman who visited Clark Lakes, and caught some fairly decent size fish. He was keen to find them, which was not hard as the article had directions but the lakes were not named on Google Maps.
Our first visit was on foot and it was hard to cast a line from the shore. There was a lot of debris close to shore and trees overhung most of the perimeter of the first lake.
The second trip was better as we had a 4x4 and a canoe and we went out on to the first lake and caught a few rainbow. The best was 10" and a lot of small most of which were released.
It was a pleasant day, not cold, and not windy.
Our next trip may be to the second lake which a good 1/2 hour walk and may be OK for a 4x4.

As can be seem from the pictures, it is not a big lake and was much higher when the dam was maintained. One end terminates in a big rock the other is muddy and shallow. I am not sure of the depth but I did not drag bottom with all my 90ft line out, so maybe 30ft or so.
It will soon be inaccessible one the snow starts falling but so far we are in drought conditions so I may be back very soon.

I've yet to come across Clark Lakes in my time fishing off the 201, but I have been to a Clark Lake off the Christian Valley road near Cup Lake. Is it far off the 201?
