The second half of my little journey took me to Lake Le Jeune in the Thompson Nicola area. Cheap camping fees so cheap it was free for the night since the season ended a day before I got there. What a beautiful lake and very good fishing both trolling and fly rod.Did both and caught several one of which was 25 inches a keeper of course and caught it at 7.30 in the evening right off the loading ramp with the 0 weight rod.

Nice photos, wish you had more of the fish!
Funny story: My family and I were there a few weeks ago for the first time. I'm not familiar with the area, so the week before the trip, I was checking the weather for Kamloops (figuring it was only ~30 KMs away). Sure enough, the temperature at Kamloops was low to mid 20's C. When we arrived at the Provincial park late on Friday, it was about 10C and around 15C during the daytime. While I knew the park was about 30 Kms from Kamloops, I didn't know it was ~1500 meters higher!
I thought the lake was too big and windy for my son and I in our Nucanoe, so we hit a smaller lake nearby and landed about 6 trout in a couple of hours. All released, but a good time.
It is a great park on a larger lake w/ smaller lakes nearby. I recommend it, but dress appropriately.
