Theres a bait ban right Now But I'm sure looking forward to when they lift it in early Oct for coho fishing .!!

In oct, would you just cast roe, spoons and spinners from shore to catch them?

Alan,
After the bait ban is lifted, just use a 3 way swivel off your main line. Tie two lines off of the remaining swivel eyes, one about a foot long and the other one a little longer, use roe in an egg loop knot and your good to go. Use the longer one for your bait.
Use around 2 or 3 ounces of weight {depending on the tide/current}, just enough to hold it in position.
I like the flat round weights the best but anything will do, even a big nut off of a bolt if you need to be thrifty.

I tried casting some lures on the north arm today for fun, saw a guy bottum bouncing along the north arm lol. My room mate works beside the Fraser near number 3 road by the airport in Richmond and he said today at 12 (which coinsides with an incomming tide) he saw schools of salmon jumping. I found a 5 foot long dead Sturgeon beside me on the rocks too o_O
