heading up to merritt gonna stop at either boss or davis lake checked the regs and cant seem to find either lakes in there can i have gas or just electric motor thanks

Gas motors are allowed in both but you sure don't need it, an electric is plenty.
If your ever in doubt about whether you can use a gas motor in a lake that is not mentioned, just phone Transport Canada @ 604-666-2681.
You can see why all lakes are not mentioned in the synopsis on page 5, middle bottom of the fresh water regulations.
