I've got out a few times to a few different lakes this season and haven't caught a thing. I'm looking to try smaller lakes that are better suited for my 10' inflatable. I'm thinking of leaving this coming Monday for a night trip to either Elbow, Grace or Weaver. Any ideas on which is best for overnight camping? I know there is a gate key needed for Weaver, so I'm hoping to avoid any complications and have a smooth transition from Vancouver directly to the water. Any help is appreciated!

Weaver lake is very beautiful.Allot of people but very few are fishing.
I was there just a couple of weeks ago and I will definitely go back later in the fall for sure.

Devils Lake you say? Haven't heard of it...I see there are cutthroats. Any rainbow? Also, it is accessible for my inflatable with the trolling motor?

Thanks for the input!

Excellent! Thanks for the tips, I think I may just check 'er out. Any action with spinners or should I stick to the flies?

Thanks very much, hopefully I'll return with good news.

Thanks for the reply GM
I want to try Morris sometime soon.Funny how I've never heard of this lake before.
I went to Frances on saturday and there were only 8 people camping there. It was a beautiful day out on the lake in my U boat. Caught 4 on a sinking line and green Doc.Someone had set up a camp right on the only access to the lake. As you say for some reason some people must figure they have that right because they were there first ( or they must figure that there the only ones on earth) so they have the right to block access to the lake.
I just walked right through there camp, said hi and headed down to the lake with my U boat.
I'm not one to let some inconsiderate people stand in the way of a good day fishing.
