Hi all
I was up at Grace lake the other day (caught one on a fly rod / pumkin head / sinking line)and went for a drive to see if I could find Frances lake.As per my BC backroads map book I found the Frances lake forestry road in but the book is very vaque after that.After climbing hills and wondering around for an hour I gave up.Funny enough I came out at Weaver lake forstry road. This connection from Frances lake road to Weaver lake road does not show up on any of my maps.I've tried Google earth and its not too bad but some roadways and connections don't show up that well. I was wondering if any of you found an on line map site that shows clearly the roadways in BC backwoods.

I use the BC recreational sites and trails site, it shows backroads/logging roads and walking.hiking trails.

I wonder if you can send me the home page for that site. I copied the web address and posted to my browser. The page opens and I can browes around but it doesn't work if I try to open it after I saved it in favorites.I found a lot of other sites but most were very hard to navigate and didn't show the roadways near as well as that site does.

here is the home page, choose
Find a Site or Trail
By Facility / Activity
By Alphabetical Name
By Location
That will take you to the next page.
Then choose the activity and region you want to search.
That will open up to a new window showing all the options for what you have chosen. click on one option, then scroll down to the bottom and click on Go to Interactive Web Map.
You can search most lakes and trails across B.C.
