For some reason; I can only see my posts after I log out, but not when logged in. No edit option...what's with that?Anyone else experiencing this problem?
ChakaRaka

I have heard a few people are having that problem. But seeing as I have not posted that much recently, I guess I am about to find out. What I recommended to others is that you try hitting Ctrl-F5 to see if is refreshes, not just right click refresh or Ctrl-R but an actual Ctrl-F5 refresh. I am about to find out if it works I guess. But other sites like craigslist require this after an ad edit.
ChakaRaka

No you guys are correct. You cannot see your own post while logged in and no type of refresh helps that. I will forward this information to the powers that be.
aaronwilde

That happened to me on that bottum bouncing post. I never log out and still can't see my posts XD. I was wondering...

there has been a bit of work put into the forum lately by the site owner. i think one of these (invisible) improvements may have caused the new post problems. the owner has been emailed and i will let you know what i find out. i know it is a pain for now but bear with us, we are trying to fix it.

Tech Problem corrected, thanks for the prompt action!

good to hear. i emailed the site owner but had not heard back yet. i am glad he got it fixed so quickly too. it was getting pretty messy here with double posting by those that did not realize what was going on.

some of the posts have become scrambled here and you may have noticed that some very old posts are near the top of the list. this is a small side-effect of the new measures taken to fight off the attacks we have been having here on the forum. i am bumping the recent posts back up to the top so it should be closer to normal. i can not get into why this is happening, just trust me that it is a minor setback to some good improvements.

just had to bump this to the top, so you long term members know what is going on.

the posts are not in correct order now, but the old ones have been bumped off the first page of threads. anything before about the 9th of August will be after the old threads.

I agree. Keep fighting the good fight. Welcome aboard KBowerman. Thanks to everyone who is working hard to make this a good place: members, mods and admins.

So... just wondering;
I started this string to enquire about a problem I and others were having being able to see our posts and stings while logged in (but able to see them when logged out).

Seems that problem was fixed promptly, but now I have been having the opposite problem: I can see my posts and strings while logged in, but not when logged out.
Not nearly so frustrating and not so concerned about it, just wondering about it and wanted to bring it to your attention, that all.

just more temporary technical difficulties. through a late-night moderating error, 3 members in good standing got banned. the server was slow and was not properly refreshing and the wrong members got the "click of death" while weeding through the dozens of attack posts. you ChrisS was one of those members as well as aaronwilde and ChakaRaka. i apologize to you three gentlemen and the inconvenience this caused. i had the site owner restore all three of your accounts as soon as was possible.

Oh, so that's what happened. I tried to check on a post of mine yesterday but could not find it. Then I replied to a new member and could not find that either. I figured there was some glitch like ChrisS mentioned, so I just waited it out. Now I come back tonight, see the missing posts and then read this one. That makes way more sense. What did I do!? Just kidding, it's all good Mr Mod.

Just curious as to what's happening with the sites' maps and photos? I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who can't see them for awhile now?
sharphooks moderator

ChrisS, what do you mean about maps and photos? the Trip Planner? i can't see anything missing, but maybe i am not looking where you are.

same here.....where you go to the reports and whatnot the usual map of the lake does not show up....only a white box with the fish markers, lol
mzmann

checked again and seems fixed
sharphooks moderator

good to hear. by the time i looked into it, it was working. maybe just a brief database error or glitch?
