Picked these up on eBay.

I have looked at many better and best reels. Those cast from a single blank of aluminum including the foot, with drag you could die for. I do want to try better gear, not that I will catch any more fish, but the chance of landing them should improve.
Many fish I manually retrieve so it is all by feel but sometimes it is better to reel them in and use the drag. So this is my upgrade.
Both reels are good quality and are now cleaned and serviced and are in top condition, easy converting to right hand use.
The Lamson had 5wt line when I received it so this has been replaced with similar line.
The Orvis is a 10-11 and will be good for salmon if I get the chance.
