Hey anyone fishing for sockeye in osoyoos lake yet or are they even open?? I have heard they are getting 3to5 pounders?

There are no openings for columbia river sockeye on the Canadian side of Osoyoos lake.

An opening is announced effective July 27th for Osoyoos Lake sockeye, until further notice.
North of Highway 3 bridge only. Limit 2 per day. Daylight hours only. Barbless hooks only. For this year the northern boundary where the Okanagan River empties into the lake has been removed.
If your fishing luck is bad, the Osoyoos Indian Band will be selling fish at the Nkmip Desert Cultural centre.

The Sockeye fishing in Osoyoos Lake is getting good. Lots of fish (700,000 predicted) this year. Best early morning, to many donkeys on the water later in the day.

Another good morning on Osoyoos Lake. I saw lots of fish caught yesterday and today. Got my two and called it a morning.
