Very slow day, went the length of the lake, plenty of fish at the north end but no bites. picked one up early in the south and two more later in the afternoon.

It is a very pretty lake and feels quite remote. We were the only ones fishing there but that is not surprising. The access from the south campground is down a 200 yard slope which could be done by truck but the gate was padlocked. We lugged the boat down and hauled it back up at the end of the day. Hard work for a couple of retirees. I would not do it again without a quad to pull it up at least or find when the gate is likely to be unlocked. When we were there the fence had been broken down and a truck had got through but we were unwilling to possibly break the law.

There is another access at the north end but it was suggested by a 72 year veteran of the site that he would not even take his quad down that path.

It should be a great lake to fish but I guess we were there at the wrong time.
