Stave is a hard lake to fish, although it is quite scenic. I'd go with Kilby and the Harrison river, which would give you both; still water and river water fishing at your finger tips. Kilby and the Harrison river should be great for cutthroat right now. It also has a camp ground if you are ever planning on camping. That's my opinion anyway.

Just a sugestion; have you considered giving alouette lake a try? At least til the water levels come down at Kilby, I didn't know it was up that high. Alouette Kokanee rainbow and cutthroat fishing is good at the moment, I was out on friday. Otherwise, maybe Stave would be the safer bet right now.

id agree on not best choice for river fishing right now. fraser below me here is way way hi. fishin has dropped off to zero for me again. alot of spots like mentioned above you cant even get into right now. time to chill and relax in a lake for a bit id say. june is super hot lake fishing for me..up further out of town though, i dont do much lake fishin in lower mainland anymore.
