Hi there: I was at Ruskin Dam this morning, June 1, The water is really high. I tried a bit of fly casting caught nothing.

Hi, I think the water below the dam is that high because they are still draining Hayward Lake above the Dam to do some work. I think you would have better luck for cutthroat if you tried near the mouth of the Stave. There is a set of steps going down on the east side between the Hwy and railway, on the west side there is a trail that leads to both the tidal and non tidal sides of the railway. There is only a place to park along side the Hwy on the west side.
