well my buddy got back from the fishing trip. ended up not doing tunkwa but they went to leighton. i didnt hear anything good about the trip from any of them. no fish, to crowded with busses/motorhomes...yuppy fishermen.
said lots jumping out of water but minimal catching. soft mouths and lost most fish. most where small as well. apperently fisheries decided that the first long weekend of the year was the right time to shut down both ends where water enters and leaves to lay nets out to close it and had tubs catching all the larger fish and removed them from the lake to put in a different lake. ...way to go fisheries. then there was the overcrowded fishermen all lined up side by side in a row fly fishing. budy said they looked rediculious like some florida fish competition in the glades with 200 boats in a 20 foot square area.,lol.
not my kind of camping with all the motor homes and all towing small jeeps or trailers and all the toys from home. to me thats not camping. may as well be in a lodge for that cost
they tried flies and trolling for fenders and either wasnt producing much.
weather was cold in the evenings and then turned rainy so was a bust for an enjoyable trip. lots of hatches happening ion the water but didnt seem to help
anyways i wasnt forwarded any pics so cant share anything more realy. dosent sound like a place id go to with it so bussy.
