Hey guys make sure you check your boat ropes once in awhile.
Last week I was launching my boat and as usual after the boat floated off the trailer I moved foward a little to get better access to the rope...when it snapped (was an old hemp horse rope that came with the boat). Well...there I was lol...standing by my trailer watching my boat drift off into the lake...while I was contemplating the impending swim.
A couple guys with a 12 footer like mine had just launched and were watching me with grins on their faces. Fortunately they were nice enough to paddle over and retrieve my boat, for which I was grateful. That rope went straight into the garbage when I got home.
