spent yesterday dragging bucktails on the shuswap. i kept a 22 inch rainbow, lost one much bigger due to sume dumb ass not being able to find a sliding weight (which were there in my tackle bag) and leaving too long a leader behind the fixed weight. for some reason it is hard to land a 10 lb trout with a 20 ft leader. imagine the agony of trying to pull it in by hand only to have it throw the hook just out of the reach of my net! oh well. life goes on! and to top it off i did not get a picture of the one i kept........once again i failed mr grey1 ! my excuse was it was pouring rain and my buddy would not let me bring the fish under the covered area to drip blood all over. at least i had my camera with me for a change. that is my report for today. by the way i heard white lk was picking up for those of you who live in the area.

i kicked myself but like i said it was really ugly out so i just threw the fish in a bag. when i got home i took out the camera and it looked so ugly i did not want one. it was so silver when i caught it. the later shot would have been an insult to a gorgeous fish . some day mr grey1 i will take the pictures. maybe tomorrow. then i have to have some luck and download it. internet here is via satelite and is not highspeed not does it always work when i try to download photos. i just stopped by the boat launch down at my neighbourhood lk. a couple of fellows were coming in . they had 2 gorgeous fish, 3.1lbs and 3.4 lbs. it was dammed cold out there. hopefully it is warmer tommorrow !

i bet that was tastie ! my buddy was back out on shuswap today. he landed 6 and lost one he figures was 12 lbs. 3 of the fish he landed were over 50 cm. he kept one 24 inches. his brother caught a 18 lb dollie yesterday. they are biting really good if anyone likes fishing the big lakes, right on the surface. i'm going to hit the neighbourhood lake tomorrow. one of those 3 lb'ers on a fly rod and only 5 minutes down the road to the boat launch . heaven.....only problem is now that the ice is gone, and the snow, all the yard work starts . so much to do. i have a solution though. when all else fails go fishing and pay the kid to work ! hope it (he ) works ! will try to get some pictures which make you be able to afford the gas mr grey1 .
