You could go to darke lake ice fishing should still be good it maybe to early to hit osoyoos n skaha from shore ...I've been trolling okanagan with some success still waiting for my 10 plus but w/e..apex n lyman...as far as ice fishing I seen some dudes coming off the penticton side of yellow a few days ago (looks solid in places but I dunno, never fished it this year at all with ice on)...yeah that's a tough one without a boat unless u drive to an alpine lake...darke should be high enough ...I'd take the 40min drive

Where as I have yet to do it yet myself Shore fishing for Bass at osoyoos, skaha or vaseux I have heard is supposed to be pretty decent. As well I have had some decent shore fishing at Echo lake out by Lumby with spinners and worm/float. Gardom lake it usually decent fishing a worm right off the bottom. Those are the main ones that I have frequented a few times and had luck each and every time. I am sure there are others who have fished many other lakes in the area and could probably give you some more info on as well as I am still learning and exploring the area myself.....with a boat though of course your options and chances of decent fishing would most likely increase.....Have also heard Hidden Lake by Enderby is decent as well.
I suggest getting the backroads map book/fishing book for OK area as well as check out anglersatlas.com as both are great resources for lakes/fishable waters in the area......as for ice fishing, not sure on the higher elevation lakes but personally I don't think I would trust anywhere on the ice this time of year in the Ok...I could be wrong by just my thoughts.

Hey guys, thanks for the info.i am thinking darke lake might be a good idea to try.if anybody has any other ideas, let me know.i do have all the back road fishing books and utilize them heavily.i just think this time of year is a transitional period for fishing.this makes it a little more difficult.thanks again for the suggestions.....

2" blue/chrome apex, 3mph, 6oz weight, 167ft of line, .penticton end....good luck, headed back out Saturday, haven't made my mind up where yet, might give okanagan a whirl...depends on the wind for us usually...when one lake blows up the others usually calmer
