rasta-angler	Posted: 10/31/2011 11:38:29 PM Reply i,ve been to Bolean Lake 5 yrs ago...nice lake...very windy drive up there...takes about 30 mins to get up there...steep drop on one side so drive slow....heard it has been sold so dont know if it is still open for business...i went in summer time and it was single digit temp there....fishing was good averaging 8-12 inches...the sign is very small on the hwy so dont miss it...we did...lol...road was a bit rough...dont know if a car can make it unless they fixed it...coming down is steep....my brakes were smoking down the hill...not kidding...its a nice lake though...good luck
cagey	Posted: 11/1/2011 5:03:24 PM Reply the lodge is open year round. a car can make it if it is not snowing! i imagine there is a bit up there now. the lake should be frozen over pretty quick as it is high! i believe the lodge has a telephone listing. try calling them to get accurate info. ps i would suggest you wait until spring.....late may it should be ice free!
