I WAS TRYING TO CHECK FOR THE CHANGES MADE TO THE REGS AND I GOT A SCREEN THAT WANTED ME TO REGISTER TO GET THAT INFORMATION. AM I JUST BEING EXTRA RETARDED NOW OR DO THEY SERIOUSLY WANT TO KNOW THE NAMES OF PEOPLE LOOKING FOR UPDATES?
Fishinthehook

I tried and is not requesting any register.

I was also there yesterday and it asked me to login. It turns out, the login I used to buy my license did not work. It must be a bug.

OK so here it is, start on this page:

http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/rec/index-eng.htm

Then click on "Updates, Opening and Closures", and you go to this page:

Pacific Region Extranet Help Information and Tips

Why do I have to register?
The Government of Canada's Government On-Line project is paving the way to increased electronic services for the citizens of Canada. To effectively provide personalized electronic services we need the means to distinguish you from other people using our website. The most efficient way to do this is to have you register on our site.
Does it cost anything?
No. Registration and use of the Extranet is free.
How long does it take?
Registration is easy and only takes a few minutes. Once you have registered once, you will not have to register again.
What information is on the Extranet?
Information on the Extranet is specifically directed to a particular client group, for instance those involved in commercial fisheries. An example of information currently stored on the Extranet is commercial fishery management plans.
Click on the Help link on the right-hand side of all of the form pages if you are not sure how to fill in the fields.

There is no way that I will register, there can be no legal requirement for this, but there must be a legal requirement for the DFO to freely give the regulations to anyone that requests it without question.

If you read the name of that page you should know why register is needed

"Welcome to the Pacific Region Extranet"

On the other hand you can use the link I provided before and Acces the same information without any register.
Good luck

AWESOME! THANKS. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR.

I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS KIND OF DUMB THAT I COULDN'T ACCESS CHANGES TO THE REGS WHEN YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO CHECK BEFORE YOU GO OUT. IF I DIDN'T, I WOULDN'T HAVE KNOWN THEY SHUT DOWN CHUM (NOT THAT I KEEP THOSE ANYWAYS. WOOF!).BUT THE LAST THING ANYBODY NEEDS IS TO GET BUSTED BY SOME CO FOR NOT KNOWING THEY CHANGED IT.

You can thank the Harper Government and all the idiots who voted for him - this is just the tip of the iceberg!
