good luck in the move. getting away from the coast will be something you will never regret. i made the move from maple ridge in 1980 and have never regretted it a minute ! would love to join you for bass next spring. i have never fished for them but would love to try.

That is where i am moving from! I got a job at Peerless trailers so there is steady work. Not to mention the hunting and fishing i can do with ease.

Yellow Lake is cold right now. Today would have been OK but I have the builders in. Wait for calm days and if anything a southerly wind, if it is east or west it can be uncomfortable.

Yellow is a great confidence boost lake. Try a wedding band with a worm if you want to hook into alot of fish. I like to dry fly fish around the shore due to the number of fish you haul in, nothing huge in this lake though. My largest was 1.5 pounds and I've fished it about 30 times. Welcome to the Okanagan, moved from Pitt Meadows in the 90's and would never move back. Great fishing in the mountains here and far away enough from Richmond, you'll never see a .....ah you get my drift. Have fun out there.

yes, the hunting is a bonus. i live in a small valley surrounded by mountains covered with logging roads. i can hunt 5 minutes from my door. got my moose a couple of years ago 11 km from home. i can see the clearing from my front window. and i get my buck within 20 k's every year. and much better place to raise the kids!
