So im new to the vedder and wondering what its like if im going to travel there. I heard it gets really busy in oct.. Can i expect to catch something fairly easy about mid october? I assume thats why its full of people. Whats the most common thing people use.. Roe on float or spoons like fraser pinks right now? I guess im going for coho and springs.. Around peach or lickman rd

October is the height of the season for Coho and Springs...as well as some Chum even.....preferred method is shortfloating roe, colorado blades but many people will also chuck spoons and spinners as well.....careful though as getting a big spring or chum on something small or light may not end up so well! lol
Tons of info around if you search around on the net a bit as well and also over at fishingwithrod.com has a wack of info that should help you with anything you want to know at all ......decent although older map of fishing holes here............ http://www.bcfishingreports.com/vedder-river.htm

Great if you know the river, hint I stay far away from the big groups. I fish many parts of it with great success! I've fished it every year since the 1990's when I was a kid.
Those who know how will soon. (about time for them bluebacks)

1 smaller (4 lbs or so) wild coho today, which was let go without taking it out of the water. Short floating a small gold blade.
Anyone catch any springs lately?
