I'm close to the river and a apparently there's hatchery Chinook running. Just wondering if anyone has fished there and how is it if soo . Thanks

that run is in mid october or first big rain of october, that will bring the river up high enough for the fish to swim up. the fishing is only on there for maybe a month and thats it. the run is mostly coho mixxed with chinook and steelhead.

Best thing to do is check the regulations first. You are only allowed to fish for and retain ONE chinook per day August 1st to September 14th. You are NOT allowed to target chinook for the remainder of the year so no catch and release during that time.
