G'day..
Thinking of heading up there in the next couple days.. and was hoping someone could give me a little insight to how the hike is into this little gem.
Also.. any extra knowledge of this area would be appreciated.

I was up there last year about this time.
The walk up, or should I say climb up , is about 40 minutes pretty much all uphill from the parking lot.Theres a few spots where you go down a few hundred feet but then it's back to a leg straining up hill climb. Now I'm over 50 and feeling it so the climb might not be all the tough on you youngsters ( LOL ). I was packing my U tube on a back pack rack and brought my fly rod with a type 2 sinking line. Trolled my favorite fly the green Doc Spratley and pulled in 4 small (10") rainbow in about 2 hours of fishing fun.I'd say it was worth the climb as you just can't beat the scenery and peaceful beauty of the lake.
