Went out fishing tonight at the end of the ladner slough where it begins to meet salt water, was using herring on an orange and goldish spoon with herring, had a bite and lost it other than that no luck, lots of salmon jumping however, any pointers?? I am new to salmon fishing to fishing the ladner slough. Thanks a lot!

The salmon jumping are most likely pink salmon if you want to catch them I think you would have to use some pink hootchies pink spoon etc. anything pink. That's what my coworker said and he used to be a be fisherman.
