Went to Sayres lake caught nothing, i tried everything, lures, worms, powerbait, floats. All i saw was 1 4" inch dead dolly on the shore And the garbage in the lake is unbelievable there is soooooooooooo much garbage in and on the shores of the lake. I seen rubber boats, pop 2l bottles, beer cans barbecue sause metal racks, way too many shot gun shells and all of this was in the water and on the shore. It is really sad to see such a beautiful lake turn into a dump. :'(

Sayres has a bait ban, and the fish tend to stay deep, about 160' try fishing where the creek flows into the lake on the west side.

If fishing in a warm spell, stick to early morning and dusk.
Target the shady side of the lake.
