Last summer was pretty much my first time salmon fishing in the Fraser and actually caught lots at Peg Leg (almost every cast) and loved it... my favorite sockeye place. This year I want to try out the Vedder since it's a bit closer and you can catch a lot of fish other than sockeye. So can I expect to catch almost every cast during a good summer like last summer or is that only available in the fall, if at all? Also is Lickman road considered one of the busiest fishing spots in the lower river? I don't mind crowds (I actually enjoy them sometimes) and that's a place close to my house so just wondering. I went out today but the fishing was still bad. However today the fish numbers in the Fraser spiked so I figure it's a matter of time before they enter the Vedder since no one seems to have caught anything today in the Vedder where I went.
