Author Topic: Allendale - A little odd?

Went up to Allendale today (Tuesday). The water level was high and the water was brown, you could net see more than a couple of feet down. The catch was sparse, two were quite dark and looked like spawners. One was big headed so maybe short of food. This one was not so dark but did not have any food in the stomach.

There is clearly something wrong here. Any suggestions what is wrong?

No evidence of a bloom as I understand it. Looks more like tannin from rotting trees.
spooner

Spawner by the looks of it.....

That was my first reation, but no roe and the lake is stocked with AF3N Rainbow (Non Reproductive). They just look underfed and discoloured.
