This may seem like a dumb question, but what is the difference between the three?
I understand that the agregate limit for salmon caught from all waters is 4 per day, but what does it mean when the posession limit is 8?
Is the daily limit known as bag limit?
And what are slot limits?

I am not sure I have read about bag and slot.
Your daily quota is easy to understand as you say but if you are on a trip, fishing weekend, over a few days the most you can have in your posession is normally double the daily limit. So you can't fish for three days and catch your limit on all three and take home 3x the daily limit.

slot limit means your fish must fall into a certain size window.for example ,a spring in area 29 must be 62 to 77 cm
