Topic: Great Day on Yellow Lake |

I had a visitor from UK, did not like cold and wet, needed sunshine and heat, WHERE IS THE SUMMER!
She wanted to fish and we tried Okanagan Lake, skunked, and Yellow Lake, two rainbow. This was not good fishing, I said they slow down and go deep in the summer on hot days.
So, not liking the cold we headed out to Yellow again, it was overcast, raining and definetly not hot.
After two hours I had one rainbow and a few bites and she had nothing. I changed my fly but not hers in the expectation that using non logical thinking I might fool the fish.
She complained and was ready to go back, cold and not having a good time when she had a bite and a good catch followed by two more. 3-1 was the score, I changed my fly and I got bites again but the final 5-3 to her and the biggest fish gave her a great story to take back to UK.
She was over the moon and the next day back to boring wine tasting again, well, can't complain.
