Anyone know anything about these reels? Is it any good for Bait Casting? I found it going through some of my dads stuff that I was given when he passed away.

Definetly a collectors reel, I have two, well made and reliable. Better for trolling I think.

Okay thanks. I was hoping it was a bait casting reel so I would then just need a proper rod but oh well.My spinning combo will have to do for now.

My brother favors the 60 and 65 LB series and is somewhat of a collector. He likes all the smaller reels up to the "1/0" size range and I have complete from the 1/0 through the 16/0. I, on the other hand, go after the large Penn conventionals.
Other than size and capacity, there is no real difference between the large and small units. Both are very durable, resist salty/sandy enviroments well and will be here long after we ain't.
Just keep up on the drag, keep it rinsed well and enjoy it for many years.
