Author Topic: Fishing Guru needed
eagles99

Hi everyone,
We are a couple of film guys who are in need of someone who is easy to get along with and really knows fish and fishing. Like Mike Holmes knows houses you know fishing. Preferably somebody with a boat and would be willing to take a few of us out so we can shoot some footage. Would prefer someone close to or in Vancouver. This is for an ongoing project that hopefully could turn into something long term. If this sounds like you or someone you know Please contact for more info. fishguru99@hotmail.com
Thanks everyone.

Seems like a perfect recipe for a film, MrGrey1, abe and bently all on a boat together, put that on utube and it would go viral in seconds.

I agree. I have never fished them for that reason. Also nice to see this thread move onto something more important than narcissism and delusions of grandeur...

I have to call B.S. on this. The email is a generic hotmail account and not a production company hmmmmm i wouldn't take it too seriously.
newsman

So you might be suggesting that someone is looking for a cheap guide trip?
Beak007

Maybe they can film the wisdom of Jeff Weltz? lol...

BTW, mod, poofoni jeff, you wanna do a good job? Then don't run the forum on a personal bias. You don't remove people from posting because they "irritate" you. The original posts, once again, did not go against the forum guidelines, which you can't seem to follow.

It'd be a shame if guru dude ends up filming a couple of guys who insist to handle released fish poorly and floss/snag fish just because they don't bite. It does not represent what fishing in BC is all about, unless you like to poach.
cagey

so why don't you do the film so you can show all of us no nothings how to do it. you talk the talk but that is it! you have never said anything on here of a constructive nature. given that, i don't think it is fair for you to criticize our beloved moderator or anyone else for that matter. you obviously have a lot of knowledge to share with otheres. do so or go away!
kelso

LOL @ beak. You know jeff? I get the flossing/snagging thing, I did it last year only because i didn't know any better i want to try something different this year and see what happens. Not saying i will never do it again but i don't like the idea of standing shoulder to shoulder with guys stressing out all day.If anyone wants to show me the ropes on float fishing for springs i would like to hear from you.

Thanks

You float fish for springs just like everything else, just not on the fraser. You dont wanna b.b. then use a bar rig
