Again thank you to all you that read the regulations and understand them.
There are two notable changes to Region 8.
Daily trout fish quota has been reduced from 6 to 5.
Treble hooks now permitted on Okanagan lake; barbless restrictions still apply.
No decision has been made on the Kokanee opening date on the Okanagan. It is expected to be 1st June but may be the middle of June.

Well you know some people like to eat fish,but good for you leaving more for the rest of us

can anyone share the link where you are able to get these regulation updates? I can't seem to find it with the new hook info and mabels salmon run dates.
I tryed here http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/fw/fish/regulations/ but could't find anything about the hooks

for salmon you have to go to the dfo site.just google salmon regs.
mable is single barbless only. up to aug 15th you can keep one fish OVER 77 CM . daylight fishing only. from aug 16th to the end of the season it is 2 fish per day over 50 cm. again daylight hours only (1 hour before sunrise to 1 hour after sunset).
