Beautiful day at Yellow Lake
pajeff

And we caught some trout. A bit slow going with many small fish and these. The weather was a bit chilly in the wind but warmed up enough to make a very pleasant day.

Hi there.....we are new to Penticton, moved from Saskatchewan. This looks like a nice peaceful lake to take a couple kayaks out and also do some fishing. What kind of lures or bait do you have to use to catch those nice looking fish. We are used to fishing for Walleye and perch only. Thanks for any info.

Sorry about the delay in replying. Yellow Lake is easy to get to and can be noisy and busy. Mainly rainbow but recently stocked with Kokanee, there are also perch and coy. You can use almost anything in this lake and catch something.

I would explore some of the other fishing lakes such as Allendale, Idleback, or a little further away, Osprey. There are loads of other lakes within an hours drive.

Let me know how you get on and welcome to Penticton.
