So the g/f and I tried to figure out how to access this lake after an appointment she dragged me to in Westbank. We found a path in a newer subdivision, but were planning to Canoe and did not want a huge hike with all our gear. Is that the only access, because it looked like there was once another at the top of the lake, but when we drove up there it was all private land from what we could see. Hoping that someone can answer this so that maybe we can try again, maybe from shore if it is not easily accessible. So for those in the know, how do you access this lake?

Hey chaka, try up rosewood drive, opposite end of lake.according to my satellite image you will come up end of rosewood drive/cul de sac.should be able to drive all the way up to lake from there.tight lines to you and let me know how it was.fish near the outflow of air bubbles for best results...

I found the same thing on Google Earth but when we went to actually go there, the road going up is no longer accessible to motorized vehicles. So I guess it is just a trail now. It looked to far to haul the canoe and all our gear. So maybe the next time we are out that way we will take minimal gear and scout it out and maybe shore fish.

I was just up there with a buddy May long weekend with a canoe...I'm guessing the locals put the signs up to deter people who don't already know how to get to the lake from there. We had a false start and ended up doing some extra hiking but here's how to get there...
When you drive to the end of the Rose Valley road the area to the left is festooned with no trespassing signs...this is the way you want to go... there was some wire with orange flag tape strung between the trees on the edge of the driveway which I guess marks the edge of the property?.... walk paralell to the driveway on the other side of the flag tape (so as not to trespass) and just head straight.... you'll end up on a trail/road which should come to some signs about no overnight camping and protecting the drinking water... keep down that trail and take a left when it forks.... it's a short hike and not too bad with a canoe...

Hey Tumult, thanks for the tip. I figured there was some funny business going on there. I will have to check it out the next time we are in that area...

Glad to help...After our false start (hiking in the wrong direction) I went back to the car and got the GPS which showed a straight shot to the lake more or less down the driveway....
